sitting in economics class is horrifyingly amusing...horrifying because of his 'innovativeness'(yes he says tat) in the english language which is ...well...very..um...innovative and amusing because of the shakira-type movements he lets loose now and then(we get a live video of 'hips don lie' everyday)...

all of us fighting over the unfairness of sitting in the first bench in sottai's class...requires real guts and courage...to brave 2 hours of 'ok ma' is no piece of cake.

and the squabbling stops abruptly due to the breathtaking entry of srinivasan.

sottai: now ma, this is wat i dont like in this class. ur strengths are ur unity and diversity. if u lose that uniqueness,then it will be tough during the later periods in ur life. whatever happens,i must be the first one to know. u can confide in me(wrings his hands and presses them 2 his chest with a stricken expression on his face); am here 2 aid in ur improvement........and it goes on 4 15 minutes...now tell me ma, what happened?( looking at me with wat he percieves 2 b a fatherly expression on his face.the entire effect is quite revolting, i tell u)

me: no sir i wanted to listen to ur scintillating lecture.thought i wud do it better if i sat in the first bench( irritation showing itself thro sarcasm)

sottai: no ma 4 that u shud hav told me no??????? i wud hav been extremely glad to help u out....(fake-dejected expression)

me: fighting 2 control my laughter
sottai: ok ma....now listen ma u have to start preparing for your next assignment( once he told us wen all our assignments 4 the term was over).... this term is a very short term ma...u shud not allow 'biasedness' to cloud ur work ma...avar(our) papers are 'quite of good standard'ma....

me: running mentally thro my sin list....pretty long...ha tat explains it!!! i smile,pleased wid my discovery

and it continues...he warms up during the fag end of the class...and bless him takes our break periods for sum economics....

us wondering about our past lives.

and den he does a jump off the table.

and scratches the bald patch on his head, probably wondering why we seemed so hazy.

i say: if u havnt figured that out in all these years, then theres no hope,buddy.

End of exams

Breathing a major sigh of relief after what turned out to be a positively disasterous examination. By far, the only subject I can confidently say that I've done my best is English and thats really not saying something.

Physics was absolutely crappy... Everything I read kinda flew out of my head, the minute I saw the paper. I stared at the paper and it stared back at me. Wasted 15 minutes trying to figure out what some questions meant. Chemistry and maths were decent I guess...

Biology was a disaster..... 11 bloody diagrams. I decided to invoke my artistic license and give hidden talents a nice opportunity to showcase itself.....

That on one hand, life seems to be going pretty smoothly otherwise...

Am really running out of things to post here....... :) All the best for your results everyone!!!

major,major mood killer!!!

i hav jus one question to ask dose ppl who thought that shifting the commerce sections to the other block was the most innovative thing 2 happen at p.s from the logistical point of view........

HAVE YOU NO CONSCIENCE?

11c bein sorely under-represented is the least of my worries...more irritating is the long walk from the darned block to the opposite block with the sun beating down and making u look like u hav jus escaped from a brutal athletics practice.......

and more troublesome is the 5 minute breaks that hav been bestowed on us magnimously by our princi and even those are snatched from our unwilling grips by evil teachers whose mindset seems 2 reflect the bizarre fact tat taking away breaks is part of deir job requirement....

i miss 10d so much......11c is like a shrine....i always feel like i hav done sumting wrong... like taking a 5 minute break...tats no.1 on 'strict donts' drafted by a majority of 11c inhabitants...
and using a free period 2 do sum gud ol' yak-yakking is treated roughly on level wid the commission of a cardinal sin...

as u can tell,i am ecstatic there.

'11c grow up!!!!!' is wat i am trying 2 tell dem but my words fall on deaf ears.... am kept at least partially sane by the company of a few kindred spirits(fellow ex 10d-ians)

Thanks for all the compliments. Finally got a hang of this....thing.
Preps for leaving are going on at full swing. How is school there? I saw a couple of movies, that's about it. Along with playing badminton. Vishnal comes to my same club. And his mouth never closes when I start playing. (he looks at me in awe)!! Tell this to him.
Could you blog your ids here in one piece? I have only the dumb one called batusaix something something. Who cares about that? I feel that it is one of the dumbest and fattest name one could have. Hey satti, change that id quickly or else what will you be able to tell to "that person" when you leave school? This id? Naah, I don't think so. Cumon you must have at least a little bit of pride in that bloated baloon of yours man!!

Vishnu rockd, n Vikku u forgot one incident.

Vishnu rockssss. And we will miss him sorely. Was very much an integral part of 11 A. But may he scale greater peaks in his journey. And we shall try to keep contact with him forever. And Vishnu is great , simply because he's made us have super fun at his cost even in his absence. And Vikku, this si what you forgot. Friday evening, Sori and myself were just walking about in class ,completely bored and brooding princi's decision to keep school on Saturday as KSS was just going through some maths assignment books. And on the shelf lay Vishnu's chem assignment book. And we had the fun of our life. He had got 4 in the chem asst, and he could have got much much more had Andi been less careful. He had known 3 answers , one two-marker and two one-markers. Each of these answers had been written thrice!! And Andi had struck the answers off writing that they had already been marked. Sema KD job he had done. And Rakesh, that true friend of his ,got his marks to 7.5 , even though the marks didn't mean anything to him now.(For him, when in PS also that mark would have carried zero significance) A very cool guy, didn't get hyper about anything. Was a kinda lunatic at times when he just went happy or rather mad just like that.
And when he said that the duster had dried due to the sun the other day, he was at his best. The only person other than Kaushik who has given us fun times with Ramu sir.
Vishnu was simply great in whatever he did, be it the Shakira hips dont lie of his or his 'drunken' interludes.
He will be sorely missed for the fun he created, at times for the brilliance he showed, his medals and certificates be it in sports or the culturals or for the great bowling he did and sixes he hit for my team in PT classes.
Vishnu has left a void which shall never be filled .
But we, 11 A shall continue to go places and rock, and though we shall miss Vishnu on this journey, anything's for the good.
So let's move on people, and never forget, our's is an amazing batch, and we've gotta keep it up.

Ode to Vishnuvardhan

XI A was extremely saddened this week to see one of it's most illustrious sons leave it forever in search of greener pastures. For those who aren't aware, Vishnuvardhan won a scholarship in a 3 tier exam conducted by Singapore airlines. Only 25 all over India were selected and just 2 from Tamil Nadu and it really is a great honor for Vishnu........ I still remember the great fun times we've had with Vishnu, his monkey antics, and his hips don't lie dance. His innocance was definitely startling at times in regard to certain issues. It's going to be really hard for anyone to fill in the void, Vishnu was a terrific character and he was us a lot of points in Intras!!

Vishnu will leave to singapore on 19th, if I'm right and will study there for the next 2 years.. All the best Vishnu from a friend who will miss you.! May your tribe increase! We wanted to see casino royale yesterday but sadly no tickets. :(((
