YES!! A WHOLE WEEKEND OF BLISS!!

Finally we get saturday off!!its been a long time since i woke up late on a sat....umm jus a qsn..y isnt ne1 postin nethin abt fifa??sandeep???vv??shruthi???shridhar???.....germany vs argetina is semma nerve crackin to watch....(every1 cross ur fingers for germany!!)...finals jus a week away...its gonna b hell on 10th..almost every1 will walk in as sleepy heads.....

Btw today was qui fun...phy assign was ok..better dan chem atleast....ks.suresh as usual came to class n crapped..i dunno how but he manages to say "u think u kno everythin,i cant help it"or sumthin like dat..everyday!!!!!!!andi is no better...she asks d same qsn"how many of u hav understood?" at an avg of 5 times a period...today chappli n bkaushik organised sum sort of "game" in d eng period...involved pictionary,homonyms,opposites n also a lot of commotion!!!..

yeah n i cant wait fer excursion...dere mite b an assign on mon,i mite miss 2 iit classes but who cares???i am lookin fwd to it neways..

Cant think of studyin dis weekend...plannin to watch a movie..mayb krrish or superman reutrns..cant decide on which..o n i jus realizednxt week we r gonna hav r official chem pracs wid lab coat,face masks goggles n the like...hope nxt week turns out to b fun!!!

assignments suck

The assignments are back ... with a BANG!

Maths went really well, it wasn't that bad.... I was expecting it to be really tough... especially since I didn't understand one word.

English was the usual. I expect this to be the normal routine for our English assignment from now...
LS is somewhere... we go to get her... time is wasted ... our break time goes. T_T

I'm eagerly waiting for Computer Science assignment... something I would've wanted since 5th. :D

Chemistry ... :( I'm scared.

Physics - I already know my mark so no worries. (jeero)

Assignments and Odds

The first assignment of the new year at school progressed without much to speak about. But it definitely was not as bad as we were expecting it to be. We, with our, beyond intellectual levels of theory in maths and no practice in problem solving whatsoever. Whats more, we actually managed to attempt an assignment without a text book and fared reasonably well.

The last week has been pretty hectic, and combine that with bad health, you get one messy mix.

BIO = Headache

We have three whole lessons for the assignment and Iam screaming in agony...

Ribosomes, Lysosomes, Peptoglyceride. Everything sounds like Greek and Latin to me. And to think, that according to our biology teachers, the lessons have been kept minimal considering that they do not want to over burden us in the first assignment itself

Chemistry is a story of its own. Our teacher is definitely better than Andy, but definitely worse than Sundari... Hence we get our own personal " compare the chem teacher " competition...

Class is actually fun with a few people like this guy called Anirudh, whose voice makes Chappli sound mute... No kidding indeed... Decibel levels would have crossed 120....

And he makes it a point to ask doubts no matter what chapter, what subject, whatever we were doing

And theres the other one, Pradhum, who makes it a point to do a perfect imitation of Anirudh when he gets up to ask a doubt.

And things got pretty out of hand, with Pradhum doing a march past in class, shouting "Ani papa", that too while handing out the assignment notebooks...

The number of people coming for excursion from my class is pathetic. Really pathetic.

11 girls out of the 24 and 4 guys out of the hm....... 6-7...

Its fun 24/7 here but I doubt if it will remain the same!

EG and Typewritin are the most favourite classes to date, without a doubt! ;)

hi to all.can see dat all of ya r preparin seriously for da assignments round da corner.but shudnt dis leave ull wid sum time to blog?? dere have been hell a lot of incidents to discuss about on dis blog .atleast as far as class 11 A goes.dis week was one of dem,da elite ones in which students of ps were granted entry into da comp sci lab.n i hope we will go in there fer da days to come too.other dan dat n da fact dat kpk gave us cricket to play durin pt on tuesday,i c no other +ve aspect comin out of skool dis week.da routine aandy trouble, da dk mokkai , chitra miss' special class on friday,things cant get worse. its seriously horrible to have 2 maths periods, n 2 chemistry prds invariably evry other day. n when u c aandy askin " how many of u understood?" liftin her hand up,when u r jus tryin to figure out wat she had been talkin bout all da while, it seriously makes u feel hatred towards her. chitra miss was at her peak.id put her in da same skool as suresh sir she too has begun da legacy of "there is no physics without mathematics." shreyas was at his brillo best. askin doubts "created by him" jus coz he wanted to ask sum doubt.suresh sir dis week.no comments .coz we did notin in maths dis week.notin at all.ls came periodically to klass n wen she did come was in hurry to leave in 5 mins.so it was one of dose very very borin weeks at ps.waitin fer da assgs to get over.i jus wanna c how da first assg,especially chem is gonna b.k ppl.me gotta buy pradeeps(da first time im listenin to wat aandy is sayin). so bye.

its all goin crap

i seriously do feel skools goin from bad to worse wid evry passin day.notin gr8 goin on.chemistry is greek n latin.but i disagree with shruthi , as maths is da period in which im havin max fun.suresh keeps teachin sumthin n its a fun in contradicting him. otherwise hes horrible in his cargos n a charlie chaplin look alike face.den we have ls, da gr8est, hu does not come to klasss at all.n even if she does, she leaves in 5 minutes.there isnt ny1 like "ramamurthi " sir.hes da best speakin literally.a typical new kind rajnikanth wid his mannerisms(jus stuck me wen i was watchin dis xclusive prog on him on ndtv now). ive developd a likin for chitra miss as she is kool but at da same time monotonous."stop talkin".its gr8. i havent touchd my books as of now except for doi nhw n im bein a biiiiig flop in assg 1.n my biggest hope is dat uv isnt cmin fer da excursion n even if she does she shud cm with class 11 d.as if she does come shell start counsellin me there too.btw shruthi u said sterling was deterioratin but den i went to sterlin mahabalipuram which was ten times b8r dan dan my stay at sterlin ooty da yr b4 dat. so im full of hope dat its gonna gr8.but in typical ps style dey've cut da trip short by half a day. atleast we r bein takin to kanyakumari like klass 10 dis yr.now im feelin bad to b back to skool n face dk's face early in da morn tomorro.poor guy , evry1 makes fun of him.but hes irritatin too ,cryin in front of uv.she slappd him.da best part of it all.btw,i wanna no hu started it all da other day wid dk.i had to get all da scoldings myself due to the very "honest " avtar i took den.nyway,ramamurthi sir was benevolent enuf to leave me off after crackin a few mokkai jokes on me.neway, me gotta do my record.so keep bloggin.

Boredom Redefined....

Well, for everyone searching for a synonym for boredom, maths has to be the word.
Its been 2 weeks since school started, and we are still preoccupied with the theory of mathematics to actually get low to the level of meagre problem solving techniques. I mean, who would even bother to glance at the NCERT text book, when we have more important things like notes to write in maths?

Forget the fact that the textbooks havent been given out yet, and we have an assignment starting on the 26th.

And one of the major rants by most of us students, who are going for the so-called- excursion, is the duration. We have a trip planned to Yercaud. We leave on the 13th, 11.30pm by the Yercaud Express and we spend 14th in Yercaud, start back on 15th afternoon and reach Chennai 15th evening by the Kovai Express. One good thing about the whole trip, if you can call it that, is the stay at Sterling Resorts, whose standards are positively detoriating over the past years. But all that aside, on the positive side, we can say that it would be one day of fun. I guess it should be worth it

For all those who arent coming to Yercaud, their only woes are that the assignment has been scheduled a day after our return, and that even though they wish to come, they are unable to becuase they have to study, or because they cannot bunk classes for a day.

My, my, our school is varied in every aspect isnt it?

And onto the much debated topic of the school pupil leader, its been a predictable result from the beginning. Like Swetha has mentioned, its been a losing battle for the rest of them. And with the cultural leader and TFE editor elections up on Monday, one can hardly debate that the candidates would have already been chosen.

The whole routine is getting more hectic day by day, and biology isnt helping things. Though, it isnt half as bad I imagined it would be, it still refrains itself to the kingdom of dronology. We had to endure a one period skit on AIDS awareness, and what the difference between HIV positive and AIDS patients were, blah blah and more blah.

I know, you're pbly thinking that I made the decision to take up biology... :(

But all that behind, yet another weekend over. One more week of rat race and getting up in the morning..........

well guess the name says it all ....atleast to my class mates it shud.well...after today's incident ....my respect for him definitely goes down the drain and I can bet my uhh...sand dat urs will too. Here's the scoop :

Some of the fellas in meh class were playin a game of catch wid DORKY's pencil box.....and to his credit he stood up for himself for a while i.e until his tru pathetic qualities were exhibited in different shades for all to c.....{:X}

Instead of actn his age i.e actn bold n all ....HE WENT N COMPLAINED TO A TEACHER(if u can call dat Whale mama a teacher!!!) LIKE A !$!A)(&(_&@_(& @_)_)#(@ TODDLER !!! and dats not all.....he broke down n cried.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! MAH GAWD !!! Evry1s reaction was first dat of incredulity and astonishment which soon gave waaayyy to hatred ....maaann o maan ...and to think dat he is in 11th graade....weepin down like a sissy...o soorrry sorry to compare him to a sissy wud b an insult ....to ALL SISSIES !!!!

To think dat I actually pitied dis hapless soul....disgusting....guess he has to b the mother... i mean daddy of all uhh...umm dorks !!

Call it ragging or bullying but heyy.....pathetic soggy pants like dis fella here deserve nothn better. Just hope dat he grows into a more "mentally" mature personality...otherwise he will b eaten or gobbled up by ZE WORLD in no time at all.

5 pd andy turned up....maths actually...but so what...chem isnt bad

7+8 pd - W.E. which was used for physics dictation -__-;;
after school, i went to physics lab...
in effect we had only 3 useful classes today!! i came home at 15-45 hrs and here i am at 16-56 hrs...finishing up my blog before i go off to finish my physics calculations...

Quite an eventful day...

First, when we arrived all the doors were locked. Had to wait in the corridor for a long damn time.

Our maths teacher got pissed today... still can't take him seriously, cause everytime I look at his face, I start laughing.
Chemistry period is getting better, atleast for me, maybe cause I actually like Chemistry. Still wish Krishnan sir could teach us.
Chappli, BK, Raghu, Shridhar and I wasted some of Physics period getting our books.
English was fun.
Ramurthi sir didn't turn up at all.
Maths period got wasted cause the nominees for the SPL post came in. I bet Vinay will be elected.
Practicals was blade... trying to measure (mezure) 113.5 cm in a 100 cm scale is a bit impossible.
PT was fun. This Narendar guy is cool. Thought he'd be a nerdy guy who only studies, since he rarely talked and stuck to his books....boy was I wrong. Thanks to him, we won in Basketball.

The worst part of it was after school. ALL HELL BROKE LOOSE when we were trying to distribute the books.

PHYSICS FIASCO

today was my first appearance at the physics lab after 10th std...and i ended up with simple pendulum...i have to congratulate the guy who came up with that name and then beat his brains out.....considering i found nothing simple about the whole thing....
once the stage was set, we all started swinging the little bobs around...back and forth...back and forth...back and forth...hypnosis to say the least...
taking all the readings was easy enough...getting them approved was an altogether different matter...
vishwanath and i proceeded to show that aparna female in vain our horrible incorrect readings for 100cms...namely 41 and 41.5
she accepted it...but chitra didnt..so we did it again....and again.....and again....and again...i swear if i see that pendulum again i'll break the stupid cork and snap the thread, proceeding which, i'll melt the bob and then feed to demons of the underworld...
anyway, i came up at last with a satisfactory 40 sec followed by 39.5
the smart one next to me wrote 40,40 (i shud have written 40 again instead of 39.5 too:( )
so...that left us to be taught log and antilog by that aparna lady, whose words i still find rather unclear...
thus, we left the lab dispiritedly but chuckling at our little misadventures...
so that leaves me with the calculation of logs n anitlogs...wonder if there are anti-blogs....hmmm

anyway i gotta go now and ponder the deepest meaning of life...

so here comes another group like thingy wid the tag line "keeps ppl connected" ... welll as far as im concerned i don get the point (don ask me y i joined it tho :D )... so lets go bak in time and recollect all of the various "keepin-in-touch-groups" in chronological orders..
1. well... if i remember correctly it was sharan who started all this wid that tickle (any1 remeber that??) grp
2. then there was vikku who started that pointless dx group in yahoo
3. and of course the most (in)famous "thecoolhomosapiens" which still continues to torture my poor mailbox floodin it wid crappy fwds
4.then we had ashwin copy the idea and start "unc3ncor3d" wwhich turned out to be the most unpopular and thus the best group...lol
5. last years 11a also started one called klusterkool or sumthin which was actually only fer their section but the owner ended up invitin every1
6.and then we had ak start the controversial thinkingenii which led to him bein banned from tchs (refer 3) as he was "plagiarizing" the members from sharans grp
7.and then the so called "brainsofindia" started by our gr8 chappli ...no comments on that 1 YET

so finally we land up here and i jus hope thisll be the last 1 of the long list... :D

Wishful Thinking n Football Fiestas

There was never a day in my 1oth std, when I would have probably thought, what Iam wishing for right now, would even be worth thinking about. But reality is, I really wish that there were still classes like Social Studies. Like Shwetha mentioned earlier, it was a time for fun, a time for napping at times, but most of all, a big break from the monotony of studies.

The classes are on in full swing, and its just 2 days since school started. Add to that, excess preparation for IIT and you get one big confused daily routine.

Being forcefully dragged off from the before the TV set, ( at around 12.30 am, mind you), when one of my favourite teams, Argentina was just coming in, was indeed not appreciated, but the reason attributed was, getting up early the next morning... Or better yet, spoiling your health

Classes are going on blissfully speedy, with 3 experiments and 2 activities completed in Physics,( hand breaking of course), a whole set of tests n experiments in chemistry, which we are expected to know by heart by the next chemistry class. Too many formulas and too many relations in physics....

Call it wishful thinking, call it idling around. But 10th was probably a way better year than this year is shaping up to be!

With football fever at its all time high, its hard to kinda stick to schedules made.... There goes everything into the dustbin!

The Newbies ...(NOOBS)

Well now dat the detailed description of each teacher is ovr lets focus our attention to the newbies in the class. Now all dat I m goin to write MAY or MAY NOT b true ..well coz its my opinion abt the noobs i.e wat I think of them...

NOTE : I m gona write abt the noobs hu r worth writn abt

Noob 1 : Ranga/Rangu ...loooks like a nerd ...talks like a nerd....soo umm I guess he is a nerd...kinda pissed me off in the beginning by making his best buddy sit in my place coz he thot dat hueva cums to the skool 1st gets to sit whereeva they want....but things patched up and there appears to b no strain between us now.

Noob 2 : Rakesh...well dont kno much of dis guy....but amazingly has the ability to talk like a girl..lol...

Noob 3 : Shreyas....well dis guy is definitely the best noob in our class.....watches DBZ/Pokemon...and most imp. of all SOCCER !!!!! Evry1 says dat he is a whiz in studies n I m not gonna dispute it... but he is totally carefree in the class .....disses the teachers he doesnt like ....all in all a cool dude

Noob 4 : Vishnu Vardhan....looks exactly like Shreyas ....asks some annoyingly stupid Qs sometimes but apart from dat looks pretty sane

Noob 5 : Prabhu/Raghu/ Pradeeep Tilak or sumthn ...cant exactly remember his name....keeps on emhasising dat he is from the IIT CAMPUS and dat too wid a makeshift accent...lol...asked one of the guys a very perverted Q...which obviously I cant type it here...

SPECIAL MENTION : D.Koushik or D.K as he is known deserves a mention here....tho he aint exactly a noob (he was studyn in PS but is new to my section) I rlly hav to mention his uhh....reflex action here....and dat bein--- copyin down evrythn the creatures/teachers say into his lil rough book....poor kiddo evn got ragged by the girls ....and then lost his cool and shouted at a midget ....lol....evn tho it aint exactly a bad habit to note down evrythn n anythn, the knives came out very quickly.....well cant help but pityin dis guy...but mehhhh I shall hav my fair share of fun wid him too !!! O n btw me calls him typewriter coz of obvious reasons ..lol!!!

Class 11a pssss,is a perfect example of how cruel life can get wid a bad (cudn't find a word more suitable in da dictionary.) chemistry teacher. 2 days of schoolin, n ive got mixed feelings bout continuing.da atmosphere seemingly is gettin awesome,dat too wid teachers like ramamurthy sir n ls ma'am rockin but den aandy is enuf to spoil da whole fun. da first aandy pd was da only one which to some extent was atleast tolerable as she rolled on wid her patriotism n dietin linkin lecture.all i cud do was giggle ,giggle n giggle wid da help of vishal raghu (thanks to his well built body).but den my chemistry knowledge started progressin from bad to worse wid her doin some greek n latin (all i can remember r da alphabets s,p,d,f).ramamurthy sir seems to b gettin b8r wid evry passin lecture.i still cant stop laughin when i recall ramamurthy sir tellin kaushik "ps-la uv missa thedi kaanum nu sonna mudhal aalu ni dhan da"". wat guts!!! wid all dese advantages ,da fact dat all my best frnds from ps r in dis class makes da klass awesome for me.another relief for me is dat dere isnt any biology or hindi now.suresh sir is a nice guy but is one hu can make ya go crazy . his questions r seriously tremendous.wat is 1+1= ???dis seems similar to da lecture one prof.b.j.venkatachala gave us at da math olympiad camp .he actually started off with " wat is 4??" so suresh din seem to b a gr8 surprise.but im happy dat he isnt like aaya.when u have experienced torture under aaya,suresh isnt gonna b tough.

Ahemm...I think its time dat v give the new teachers some name...here is my version of "Naming the new teachers"

1. Ramamurthy = Rama Rama ( dont ask me y i call him dat)

2. Lakshmi Srinivasan = LS = Longitudinal Section (Kudos to Shreyas for da expansion)

3. Suresh = Charlie Chapplin/Javagal Srinath according to Arjun but I ll modify it to Charlie Chappli ^_^

4. Aaaanandha Valli = Andi to evry1 but lemme evolve her name to Andi Bladey

5. Chitra V = hmm...dis is a tuff 1 ...how abt Droney coz of her droning voice

Guess dats abt all ....but dont form teh idea dat I hate teachers....well I do despise some jackasses n jennies but dats beside teh point.....its just dat I m passionately fond of makin fun of teachers ..lol

okay...so i'm gonna elaborate on the lame little thingy i wrote earlier..that having been written due to too many IMs from yahoo ... i was hard pressd for time... so anyway... lemme revie about friday..
o pd was P.T. i ended up playing shutlle as usual and had some fun... oh yea i also noticed some function thingy being organised over yonder by th yoga room..which LS mention as well..hmm..wonder what that was all about...
1 pd physics...chitra dictated at a marvlous speed altho not half as fast as she used to do so in tenth...however i swear i heard a couple of newbies from the back gasp...sayin..damn she's too fast for us... poor noobies..im sure they'll get used to her.....................................

2nd pd chem .... i jus love andy..she's da bestest ... she's jus like a grandma(i think she is a grandma) and gl and i were saying we wouldnt be surprised if she cud cook well....coz thats an inbuilt function of all grannys...
3rd pd maths... new guy..mr.suresh... well he went on abt 1+1=2 thingy and there was a crtain wierdness to the whole affiar bcoz the math class seemed more like a philosophy class with one guy saying physics is best n the next guy sayin math is best and so on...
4rth pd...english! LS came really late..vignesh read his poem, got appriciated by her, tho i still dont see the point of "my school's so cool i hope i dont get caught breaking rules"...anyway i read my essay like thingy...she liked it i guess... altho a certain student was heard saying when she is ever gonna finish...and that pissed me off...all anger dissipated bcoz of LS praise tho...i was floating on a cloud..the rest of the day...
5th pd comp sc... usual comp sc class with rammurthy sir and his wierd jokes...
6th, 7th 8th...once again..chem,math eng...same as morning...
a certain feeling of redundancy ...nevertheless...terrifically entertaining...
the highlights were d.k's chemistry writing on the board and yelling at filles fraiche :P
g.v. in math class said "if this implies that, then that must also imply this" and this had me in tears of laughter for a while
and in physics dictation, last pd, i kept singing "the wedge with the sharp edge" and me n vaish kept collapsing into laughter..
thats about it...now my fingers hurt and im off...

The other side of School

Well, the last few posts were by students of 11 A.... And this one is about the life at school from a different perspective... Enter the Biology Group!!!

The first day was actually amazing... We were surprised to see that Mrs. Subhashini Rao, our English teacher for the past 2 years was our class teacher. That was a good omen I guess. But what really is peculiar about my class is the strength... Our class has a roll call of around 30 students, give or take a few people who are yet to decide whether they are continuing, or not. This when compared to the strengths of the other classes, ranging around 45 or more, is pretty small, and the classroom looks practically abandoned.

The ratio of the boys to girls in the class is miniscule! 6 boys and 24 girls! Thats like the exact opposite of A section, which has the numbers reversed!

Our teachers seem to be a good lot this year. Having Shankaraman, for maths.... Well, its hard to say whether its a boon or a bane. Boon because, its only humour in uniform in his class, or a bane because he has the speed of a Lear jet!

English, we have one of the best teachers, maybe after LS in our school and no qualms.... Physics, again, we have Shivakumar, who happens to know the right dose of fun and teaching.

Chemistry, we have a new teacher, who has joined this year, called Lalita.. She could have been an instant success in the theatre, for her way of talking makes us believe that. But other than that, he Chemistry is pretty accurate, and teaching to the point

Next comes the greatest subject of all. BIOLOGY... We have two teachers for one subject. And the revised text book actually has one of my favourite chapters ( or lack thereof ) DIVERSITY IN THE LIVING WORLD as the first chapter.

That was pretty lame I guess, but it was written during Maths. And a big thanks to Niranjan, who came and saved us for about 15 minutes from the agony of Maths.....

The Teachers

I'll run through all of our teachers:

1) Rammurthi (Computer Science + Cass teacher)
He's pretty good at his subject and has got a wierd sense of humour too. He's obsessed with making the "quotation marks" symbol with his hands.

2) Chitra (Physics)
She was the best class teacher EVER. Too bad her voice makes people sleep. Oh and did I mention that she was the best class teacher EVER.

3) Andi (Chemistry)
:( Chemistry is my favourite subject, and only a teacher like this can ruin it for me. :'(

4) Suresh (Maths)
He's a new guy, but he's cool. He looks a lot like some cricketer too. He knows how to take class.

5) LS (English)
She's the best english teacher I've ever had. She comes to the class for like 10 minutes. And 10 minutes is all I need to make myself look good in her eyes. ;)

ok...lets make a start! 11th started with a surprise...esp to me..because for the first time in my school life i walked into a class which looked sort of ALIEN to me....some of my best friends not in my section any more!!!
But after 2 days of school,things seem normal again..Today was yet another intellectually BORING but otherwise FUN day in school...A couple of teachers BORED us to death, which all of us call "BLADE!!"....and not to mention i came across lots of new,weird and different guys.....some nice,some shy and few(actually 1) verry oversincere...lol...
Now i am kinda waiting for monday for quite a few things 1.try out my new white uniform(to curse my tailor)2.to know d nominees for spl,cul sec and tfe 3..d "creatures"(i pity him n her) who r gonna b r class leaders!!!
